On Friday we had Mandarin ,Mandarin is not a fruit it is a language that the Chinese people speak. She told us what her name was and the first thing that we did was we met the person who is going to teach us how to learn the language. She taught us how to say a lot of words in Mandarin She also told us what the February the first mean to them. She also taught us how to make Red Pockets, Red Pockets are these envelopes that have money or cards that have what animal year it is. After we made the red pockets she asked us if we would like our name translated into Chinese and mostly everyone wanted their name translated. After we got our names we had to write it down on our red pockets and outline or draw a dog on the red pockets.

Last Friday we had Mandarin,it means a Chinese language. We learnt how to make red pockets.
Chinese people use red pockets
for money at school.
When we were making the red pockets we had to go to this girl called Tracy if we wanted our
name to be in Chinese she
would write it for us.
